The chemical name of Coluracetam is N-(2,3-dimethyl-5,6,7,8-tetrahydrofuro[2,3-b]quinolin-4-yl)-2-( 2-oxopyrrolidin-1-yl)acetamide is a class of racetam drugs under development in Chemicalbook and belongs to the class of racetam derivatives. Coracetam participates in the HACU process and increases the rate-limiting step of synthesizing the neurotransmitter acetylcholine by increasing the choline uptake at the nerve synapses, increasing the activity of cholinergic neurons and improving cognition.
